Cod tails

Skin- and bone-less frozen tail made from cod  gadus morhua.
Made of selected fresh fish from daily catches.


tail drawingThe tail is taken from the tailpart of the fillet. It’s a thinner part compared to the loin area and a good portion piece.
The length is +/- 16 cm and the weight varies by size of fish and the customer’s requirements.


The selected fresh fish  is cut in to fillets and skinned by machines, Baader 185/186. The fillets are trimmed and cut by hand. The tails are bone-free, single frozen in a Gyro freezer, glazed and packed. Any bloodstains, discoloration and parasites are also removed.


The tails are wrapped in a plastic sheet in cardboard boxes.
Labeling by labeling regulations and customers specification. Stacked on wood pallets and wrapped in thin plastic film with a plastic sheet on top.

The product should be kept frozen at minimum -18°C at all times.

Shelf life

The expiration date is 18 months from the production date.

The products are to be heat treated.
